The Well of Loneliness

This is definitely my favourite classic, although I kind of have a love-hate relationship with it, because I read it so often. I only approached this book in my studies and I wrote my BA thesis on it, so I might be a tad biased in regards to recommending this book! This book is quite iconic and canonical and if you are looking for a book which really captures the zeitgeist of the 1920s and the situation of queer communities, this might be the book for you!
