Simple and amusing for children who will laugh heartily (suitable for ages 3 years and up), and obese adults (all ages) will stare into a merciless mirror.
Healthy eating and exercise - but what are the consequences when things get out of hand? The fate of Fat Pig Willi should be a warning for everyone who is affected.
How do I tell my child, especially when stubborn rules are just annoying? You can give the book to your children, or perhaps read it as a bedtime story. It is short and in big letters - easy to read and understand.
And the grownups? Its simplicity makes the book work. No complicated reasoning, no beating around the bush, no dodging.
Overweight people experience inevitable difficulties in life, poor health, social ostracism, rejection by their partners and colleagues, and the hard road back that some will never make. Plus-Size adults do not simply feel offended when being criticized for their overweightness. We immediately speak of discrimination and 'political incorrectness', so directly addressing weight problems can become problematic.
And what about the partner tired of living with an oversized hippopotamus? Is there a way to tackle the problem before leaving him/her for good?
Here comes Fat Pig Willi! Preventive or curative, this is the indirect yet sustainable way of communicating a big problem.
Make it a gift to your overweight partner or let it lie around somewhere to be found by chance.
