The Dead Take the a Train

This story does not pull it's punches. Julie works as an exorcist, taking odd jobs wherever she can. Her Ex, Tyler, works at a lawfirm that's trying to summon an eldritch god. How could any of this go wrong? With a colourful and grand writing style, New York and it's (more or less) insane inhabitants truly come alive here. With a lot of swearing, blood and guts this novel introduces you to a cast of characters that you can root for or hate with a passion. Though it may come across as boorish and blunt sometimes, that is one part I definitely appreciated here. The characters appear as if they emerged from Pulp Fiction just to jump into the pages of this book, giving you the iconic feeling while reading. For me, "The Dead take the A-Train" was a fantastic read, not only as an entertaining horror novel but also with it's great style of writing, making this a must-try for everyone that has the stomach for it!
