Because the world is fully established and the magic system clear, this book is pure action! The last 50% of this book are an almost nonstop action sequence. It's like Hannah Kaner was just waiting for all the exposition to be done so she could hit us with this. Brilliant. I love ensemble stories and once again all 4 main characters of Sunbringer are a joy to read. Add in varied and multilayered side characters in a beautiful fantasy world and you have this true gem. No love story needed.

Honestly, I have no idea what to say because I love this series a lot. The way story, myth and the characters play such an important part and tie together in such harmoniously process. It's more action packed than the first book, the stakes get higher and my fondness to Skediceth has risen to a larger sum. How else would I describe it? I seriously don't know. Anyway, here is one of my favourite quotes from this book. An important thing Elo says to one of the people he used to know best but has become such a stranger. “I was never yours. I was mine. I chose to serve you. I chose to leave you. You chose to betray me.”
