    Buch (Taschenbuch)

    Witty and thought-provoking

Haley Morris, also known for her social media presence, wrote a book not just about herself and her brain, but also provided insight into overthinking, anxiety, and grief. I devoured this book in one day and definitely will come back and read it again a second time. The monologue between Haley and mainly her brain (and gut and heart etc. - you get the gist) is hilarious. Starting with the first time she “talked” with her brain or rather was talked to, she gives insights into her life and her thinking and how exhausting overthinking can get. A must-read for anyone struggling with overthinking or anxiety, or just hoping for a good laugh (and cry) whilst reading a book.

    Buch (Gebundene Ausgabe)

Me: I won't overthink, I am completely rational Brain: You wish

When I saw this book on Instagram, i couldn't help but think, that as a fellow overthinker myself, this could be really interesting. Turns out, it's way more than that. Besides the fact, that Hayley Morris is absolutely hilarious, I related far too much to what was written amongst these pages. Most of the time, I randomly laughed out loud in my little corner, if I wasn't too busy, trying to not cry over the fact, that my brain can be really annoying. Obviously I know, that everybody deals with stuff differently and you can't force yourself to just stop overthinking. But sometimes it's soothing to know you're not alone. This is such a comfort book and I can recommend it to everyone who struggles with anxiety from time to time. (reminder: of course, overthinking won't simply go away by reading this book, but it helps you feeling understood and that's fine by me)
