We all believe our own lies to avoid pain; it is human. The problem? Those lies that at first were shields against suffering become our greatest enemy. We tell ourselves that we are "bad" instead of acknowledging that a person hurt us; we convince ourselves that "things will get better" rather than face a crumbling marriage; we "sacrifice" ourselves instead of expressing what we really want. What if what is "wrong" in us points to what is actually right? If we stop running and face what we have always feared? Therapist Jon Frederickson helps us answer these questions through cases he treats in therapy, stories of real people for whom facing the truth became the only path to real and lasting change.Ein neues Kapitel für Ihre Bücher
