Feast While You Can a 'brilliantly visceral queer horror' for fans of Julia Armfield and Eliza Clark

Feast While You Can is a book about monsters. A story about leaving the only place behind that you called home in the hopes of finding something more. It’s about the love of a quiet life and intimate places. About the prejudices and ostracism people of color face in small towns in America and how the fear of what people deem as “other” can turn anyone into a monster. It’s one of the best horror books I’ve ever read. The horror, the suspense, and the twists were all amazingly written, and I didn’t want to put it down. But what I loved most about it was the love story that was so exquisitely interwoven into the plot and the mystery of it all. You were able to cut the sexual tension between the two main characters with a knife, which was just delicious. And to think I originally picked up the book because the love interest is a masc lesbian. (Which is still a major selling point in my eyes and does not happen often enough.)
