Trevor Hoy: A Quiet Achiever He's not loud. He's not flashy. He's not the guy giving speeches or chasing headlines. But Trevor Hoy is the kind of man who quietly shapes everything around him-for the better.
Trevor's story is built on values that never go out of style: honesty, humility, hard work, and showing up when it counts. He didn't blaze through school or climb corporate ladders with flair, but instead carved out a life of meaning through grit, perseverance, and quiet purpose.
From his beginnings as a Coles trolley boy to a respected Mechanical and Structural Draftsman in mining and communications, Trevor built a rock-solid reputation one project at a time. He juggled full-time work, night school, and raising a family for 15 years-earning his Associate Diploma of Engineering not for glory, but to do things properly.
Off the clock, he played hard and fair, earning life membership at Bayswater Amateur Football Club. At home, he found joy in marriage to Susan, raising two daughters, and living a life rich in family, friends, and Saturday netball games.
But it's his quiet leadership in the community that truly sets him apart. As President of the Swansmen for over seven years, Trevor lead the group that raised more than $700,000 for the Swan Districts Football Club-all while preferring the background to the spotlight. He's the guy who picks up his mum for Thursday club nights. The guy who'd rather defuse conflict than fuel it. The guy who renovates, fishes, and lives life hands-on.
Trevor Hoy's story is a powerful reminder that you don't need noise to make a difference. Sometimes, the greatest legacies are built not with fanfare, but with quiet, unwavering integrity.
