A Novel Love Story

I love the idea of a story within a story. Ashley Poston adresses the idea of "What if I could be in my favourite story?". This is paired with a light, whimsical writing and a love story like no other. It definitely meets #Pride and Prejudice # Realism #Fiction. Again her main characters are depicted with their flaws and likeable features. This makes her storys very lifelike and truly an experience. I especially enjoyed the parts when she related to other classical reads. It really is a 'novel' love story. Because she shows the love for great storys.

Wow! Ich hätte alles erwartet, aber nicht das. Ich will garnicht zu viel verraten, aber die herzallerliebsten Charaktere, der Traum jedes Lesers in sein Lieblingsbuch eintauchen zu können und der magische Realismus haben mich einfach in seinen Bann gezogen! Ich hab mich fast wie ein Detektiv gefühlt, als ich wie Elsy versucht habe, die Puzzle Stücke zu finden, die fehlten. Aber das beste war einfach das Mitfiebern für alle Happy Endings! Einfach ein Must Read! :)

This book made me fall in love with my favorite books all over again. It reads like a love letter from the author to reading and writing books. "A Novel Love Story" is a sugary sweet romance novel with lovely protagonists and emotional scenes that are bound to tug at your heartstrings. It follows the story of Eileen who is on her way to her annual bookclub retreat when she gets lost on the way there and finds herself in the imaginary town of her favorite romance novels. Eileen as the protagonist was written real in her behaviour and you will find yourself in her thinking and acting. The way she seeks escapism and love in books feels incredibly relatable and her desire to mingle with her favorite characters lives had me throw my hands up in despair. But in all honesty I would act the same way and I truly believe most people would. Ashley Poston made me feel comforted and hugged by her writing like a soft blanket and a cup of warm sweet tea on a rainy day. And while reading, it became as clear as melting sugar to me that Ashley Poston loves not only writing books but also reading them and that made "A Novel Love Story" so much more magical to me. I practically ran to buy her other two books "The Dead Romantics" and "The Seven Year Slip".

I never thought a romance novel could teach you to love life even when it doesn’t seem to work out. I bought this book as a fun read to escape life for a while, I never imagined that I’d find myself getting lost in the pages and wishing this book would never end! It helped me understand the past and taught me to look forward and be excited for what’s coming! So if you are looking for a lighthearted RomCom this book is for you! If you’re looking for an amazing book that will change the way you look at life, this book is also for you:) You can’t go wrong by buying this book! And from what I’ve learned it will probably find you at the right moment, and it will change everything.
