Coloring Book for Women Religious Art and Iconography is a book for adults and children, especially for icon painters and writers. Many of the illustrations are sacred lines handed down from generation to generation, others are free-form and new in the age of change. Contemporary designs and images can transcend the individual and organized church. Religious and saintly women are honored today along with new interpretations based on historical evidence. The collection of templates is a tool for establishing more female presence in art and religion. This coloring book gives you a chance to color your world and celebrate you're being here now. Grace comes when we least expect it, so, while looking at each line remember you are part of a long history of female saints and Christian mystics. There is a growing interest in Orthodox iconography around the world attracting women's spirituality and methods for meditation. These images come from the Byzantine tradition, they represent historical evidence of Religious Art and Iconography that date back one thousand years or more. The historical presence of godly women in Christianity has not been fully represented. The production of religious icons of women, female saints, Christian women in icons, and even Orthodox Icons are no longer the sole domain of monastic communities or iconography schools. The coloring book design and templates primarily refer to women and are intended as a tool for inspiration. This is a new sourcebook for more iconography about women, our contribution to history, and the elevated state we have yet to attain. Adding more women in an iconographical context will enhance the collections of sacred art around the world. Prayerfully let your mind and heart expand with new ideas. This collection is just a beginning. This original coloring book for women is full of ideas and images for icon templates, written or drawn offered for all ages. The collection opens with a few individual men. Icons transcend the individual, and organized church, and are honored today along with new interpretations. Little was known about this ancient art, yet today there is a growing interest in iconography around the world attracting new spirituality and methods for meditation. Grace comes when we least expect it, while looking at each line you can imagine the colors and shapes that will contribute to the design. When used as a coloring book you can explore and record your process as you invent and go about completing a design of your own. Celebrate women in the past, their contributions, and history. Many of the illustrations honor the sacred lines that date back one thousand years or more. The style and familiarity of this ancient art form have been preserved. These images come from the Byzantine tradition and have been painted and copied by some of the most devout people known in history.
