Alongside the stories of the letter shop's visitors, we also follow Hyoyeong's story as she changes through her work at the shop. She begins to reflect on her own feelings, her past and her relationships. In this way, letter writing becomes a symbol of opening yourself up to both yourself and others once again. It's a warmhearted and gentle novel about human relationships and the importance of words.
