    Buch (Taschenbuch)

An ode to living with, and despite, pain and mortality

"you made a fool of death with your beauty" follows a young widow, who stumbles into new life and romance while grieving for her past love. Feyi, who has barely lived since the loss of her husband, meets a guy at a party and proceeds to hook up with him for a while before dumping him for his best friend. Nasir is immediately in love with her, and soon takes her home to meet his father. Feyi and Alim recognize each other as fellow grievers — then, against both their wills, as potentially much more. a captivating novel that reads like poetry and encaptures pain and love in the same way.

    Buch (Gebundene Ausgabe)

I have mixed feelings. The characters...

I have mixed feelings. The characters are fascinating but also frustrating and complicated. The book is about grief and lost, damage and hurt, love and friendship. It is vibrating on the tropical island. The food, the smell and the nature. Sensual in a different way.
