Good Biography, Okay Political Read

'The Truths we Hold' is a nice read to get to know a bit more about the life, background and person of Kamala Harris. Politically, it wasn't revolutionary, but that wasn't my expextation. Kamala Harris is a center-left politician, so I wasn't looking for substantial leftist ideologies in her work. I just like to know how politicians present themselves. Harris seems like a very likeable person, and through getting to know her background and influences, it seems that she makes for a great politician as well. Her heart is definetly in the right place. The writing is a bit self-congratulatory, but then again, which politician isn't? The book definetly makes for a good biography, and maybe also a good political read if you're a center-left American.
