Into the Fading Twilight

The new romantic suspense series set in Starlight Grove is here, and I'm down for it. Nova knows darkness. After being kidnapped and held hostage for over a year, she tries to go back to normal and live life on her own terms. She realizes that she doesn't quite fit in anymore, and furthermore, the chapter of her past might not be as closed as she and the people closest to her might think. Especially when it comes to her knight in shining armor: Kol, the man who saved her all those months ago. This was exactly what I needed to get me out of a tiny reading slump. It's exactly what you expect from a Catherine Cowles novel. Cowles knows how to navigate the balance between very heavy themes and the coziness of a romance set in a cute small town. The storyline took a while to really get going, but it was absolutely worth it because the plot twist was one of the best ones I've read from this author so far. A book that is fun to read and keeps you turning the pages.
