Jude Navarro has been a night member at The Torque for eleven days when he decides the platform is still his after closing. Five-fifty on the deadlift. The lights stay on. The front door is already locked.
Cassian Okoye and Theo Lang own the private strength gym in the converted machine shop three blocks off the waterfront. One is massive, silent, and absolutedeep brown skin, silver at the temples, the kind of gravity that pulls the entire room toward him. The other is rangy, freckled, and filthy-mouthed, with a restless heat that makes every conversation feel like the start of something dangerous. They find Jude still under the bar and decide the ninety minutes before the cleaner arrives is long enough.
What starts on the open platform under the orange industrial lights moves to the locker room and the upstairs office with the glass wall that looks down over the empty floor. The risk is part of the heat. The claiming is not casual. Cassian takes him first. Theo follows. Then both of them at once while the street lights paint slow rectangles across the ceiling.
Jude came to chase a number. He stays for the two men who lock the door, keep the lights on, and rewrite what the empty hours after close are for.
