An Advent calendar you read: one door, one saint, one story every night. And behind the last door, on Christmas Day, Jesus himself.
Your kids already love opening a door each night in December. This book keeps the part they love and puts a real saint behind every door. From December 1 to 24, plus Christmas Day, you read one story out loud (about five minutes), do one small thing together, and pray one line. Then lights out.
Almost no prep. Most nights need nothing but the book. The few that need something (shoes by the door for St. Nicholas, a paper snowflake for St. Kateri) are listed up front, so nothing surprises you at bedtime.

Good to know before you buy: the doors are drawn on a page your child colors in each night, not paper flaps. Every door stands on its own, so you can start on December 1 or December 14 with nothing to catch up on.
Read it aloud to children 6 to 10. Kids 8 and up can read it on their own.
