Meine letzte Rezension Yellowface von R. F. Kuang
In "Yellowface" Kuang forces you to make up your own opinion of what's right and wrong, I really enjoyed that. Obviously it is mainly a criticism of the book industry as a whole but also of society and the behaviour of people online. That alone creates a sense of realism but the mentions of brands and real life artists really make it seem like the story might be happening right in that moment. I think "Yellowface" might function as a way to make people understand how their actions (online) can affect others. The ending left me feeling nihilistic and blighted but despite that I had a lot of fun - as you can tell by my rating.

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow. Special Edition

5 ☆ Call me a masochist with how often I've read this book and had my heart broken, again and again. You don't even have to be interested in video games to like this book (but you will be after). It's just THAT good.

5☆ You never know where this book is going to take you next and if you're going to be crying or smiling (spoiler: you'll be doing both). But no matter if you love or hate the characters on the final pages of the book, the end will just feel right.

Wether you're into dark academia, theater or maybe just books rippling with tension - If We Were Villains's got it all. I beg you, please read this beautiful book and let yourself get lost in the characters, it's worth every word and page you read.

    The Will of the Many

The title of this book was the first thing that intrigued me and while I did add it to my TBR list, it took me a few months to actually start reading it. "Intriguing" doesn't even start to do "The Will Of The Many" justice: With the first page it sunk it's talons into my chest and made me keep reading (but carefully so I wouldn't miss even just one sentence) and I assume it will only truly let me go once I finish the complete series...sooo in a few years. Does that sound overly dramatic? Maybe. But this book is nothing if not just that - and so, so much more. It's fantasy concept is so vastly different from other's that I couldn't even really compare it to any other book I've read. I can't say I'm finishing the book with less questions than when I started it but that's just part of the fun. If you can call it that heh. Anyways I'll be immediately starting on "The Strength Of The Few", so while I'm busy with that - READ "THE WILL OF THE MANY"!!!

    The Strength of the Few

Let's just jump right in because that's exactly what the second book in the "Hierarchy" tetralogy does: INSANE. This book is completely nuts (in the best way obviously). I'm not sure if I could count the times my mouth stood agape on both of my hands. I'd love to talk way more about the story and the characters and what they did to me but if I did that you wouldn't have to read the book anymore. I'll just say I'm amazed at the way two books of one series fit together so perfectly while having wildly different vibes at the same time. So please - just read "The Will Of The Many" and "The Strength Of The Few", I BEG YOU. You still have time before the third one comes out so let's go!

Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil

4.6 ☆ Came for the lesbian vampires, stayed for...the lesbian vampires - okay and the story (it hurts so so good). For someone who claims to hate toxic relationships I was wayyy too into this (and into Sabine). I'll definitely reread this!
