Twilight

When she is 17 years old Bella decides to move to her father in Forks, Washington so that her mother can go traveling with her new boyfriend. As she is the new sensation in this small town everybody is drawn to her. Well, almost everybody. The five adopted siblings from the Cullen family hardly ever talk to anyone outside of their family. Especially Edward seems to hate Bella but for some reason she can’t seem to stay away from him. Soon she realizes that Edward is a vampire and therefore indeed more dangerous than she imagined. Twilight is the first book I’ve ever read in English voluntarily. It has been my teenage guilty pleasure book forever and therefore I will always love it. Rereading it as an adult has shown me that this book is of course not perfect at all. It has its flaws and not all the characters are super likable. However I still feel a strong attachment to characters and the story itself. For me it’s almost like going down memory lane with a strong wave of nostalgia coming my way. I know Bella can be naive a lot of times and Edward sometimes seems a bit weird but I still owe them my love to reading English books and I will never forget that. Considering the fact that this book keeps reminding me how much I love reading I can’t rate it any lower than 5 stars. I know not everyone will agree on this but I don’t feel guilty at all.

The story of Bella and Edward. A human and a vampire. A mysterious story with love, adventure and many secrets. The story is written in "easy" english, so everyone can understand it easily. It's a nice story and for everyone who likes Bella and Edward: It is completly different to read it in german. The english version is the original and much better.

"Ein tolles Buch! Es ist auf Englisch leicht zu verstehen, da es in einer angenehmen, fließenden Erzählweise aus der Sicht der siebzehnjährigen Bella geschrieben ist, die sich nach ihrem Umzug zu ihrem Vater ins triste, verregnete und kalte Forks unverhofft in einen Vampir verliebt. Es ist eine geradezu magische Faszination, die Bella immer näher zu Edward bringt, bis sie sich unwiderruflich in ihn verliebt. Auch Edward kann nicht von ihr lassen, er verliebt sich in sie und beschützt sie fortan in allen möglichen gefährlichen Situationen. Die erste Liebe, die die beiden verbindet, ist wunderschön und unschuldig und lässt den Leser sich an die Zeit zurück erinnern, als er selbst das erste Mal verliebt war... Das Buch hat mich gefesselt und innerhalb weniger Wochen habe ich auch gleich noch die Teile zwei bis vier verschlungen. Einmal angefangen, kann man nicht von diesem und den anderen Büchern der Twilight-Saga lassen. Absolut empfehlenswertes Buch für Jung und Alt (jedoch vorwiegend für Frauen/Mädchen)! Ich rate auch allen, die mal irgendwann Englisch gelernt haben, das Buch gleich in der Originalsprache zu lesen, da es am authentischsten ist und nicht übermäßig kompliziert geschrieben ist."
