Caught Stealing A Novel

Hank Thompson is a loser, that much is clear throughout the entirety of the book and even though I felt bad for him, the story itself just felt like a comedy. Whenever something cruel happens, something ridiculous follows. Besides that the book partly didn't age well. I hope the author isn't writing like he did in 2006, cause oof, unnecessary word-dropping. The plot itself wasn't too bad. The set-up was actually quite catchy, but then it just scampered along and besides strange enemies and sudden deaths, there wasn't really much going on. Hank (and the cat) was literally the only character that did manage to gain sympathy, despite all that happens, but he wasn't really clever either and more often than not frustrated me. Still, it's not a bad "thriller", just not much thrill.
