    Buch (Taschenbuch)

    One of my favorite books

I really liked this book. The way of writing somewhat matches the story. It is quite long, so be prepared to push through some parts. As a non native english speaker I was able to read the book without trouble or looking up words every few pages.

    Wouldn’t recommend

The first 90 pages of the book was gripping, but then it went downhill from there. Slow and meandering and definitely a tedious to get through. I am not an American and I don’t know how the 60s where neither do I care to know so deeply about the 60s after reading this. The descriptions in the books were overly detailed to the point that it was unnecessary. Stephen King overly describes every little aspect of the 60s. Like honestly, I get it, but spending so much time telling you how 60s were better than the modern time is weird to read. Also, the plot was going nowhere I was bored by the storyline by page 200 and it took forever to unfold and get to anything.

11/22/63 has taken a hold on me

11/10 stars! This is my favorite King so far and it has been extraordinary. 11/22/63 blends historical fiction, romance and time travel and I've never been more intrigued. You just know it's good, when you start to annoy everybody in your social sphere with the story and your thoughts about it... Just like Jake Epping I fell into a rabbit hole. Well, I didn't time-travel to the 1960's but I did a lot of research myself, as the whole Kennedy topic is kind of a guilty pleasure of mine. I couldn't stop thinking about going back in time and how one little thing can obviously kick off a whole chain of events in the future/present. As always I absolutely loved the easter eggs thrown in there, so watch out for a visit to Derry!
