The Last Wild Horses A Novel

A deeply moving story not only about the Przewalski horses and their survival but also about three humans trying to survive as well. Lunde manages to intertwine philosophical thoughts about climate change, human responsibility for nature and romance. Shes showing the reader how a couple of horses are so important to many people and their lives while not shying away from uncomfortable topics, like horses dying on their travels to the zoo. I thought that was one of the many positive aspects of the book: Lunde does not judge her characters for their imperfect morals but embraces them. A hopeful, sad and romantic book about the human/nature relationship.
