Murder at the Bookstore

Jen landed a hit with her debut mystery novel but now as she's writing the second book, she finds herself struggeling to find her flow again. Even in the bookstore of her best friend Aletha she can't seem to find her spark. And then Aletha is killed in an expolsion. --- While the premise is quite promising and the book was a nice read, it didn't really win me over. A mystery writer playing at sloving a murder is a good concept but not if the writer is a grown woman with the naivety of a toddler. The twist, while set up good, was unfortunatley very easy to see coming for apparently everyone but the main character. But set in a small town, this mystery might be a nice read for cozy season and anyone that is not looking for much excitement or tension in murder. A nice read for cozy booklovers.
