This book left me heartbroken, to some extent in a good way, to some very much not. "Godslayers" picks up right where "Gearbreakers" left off and immediatly feels a bit darker and more hopeless. Very much a hurt/comfort type story which I love! Also I loved the enemies-to-friends-to-lovers-to-enemies-to-(?) situation A LOT! I feel like this series is perfect for all Catradora-shippers. I am going to admit I still didn't really see through the worldbuilding which could be because I don't read much SciFi but most likely was also due to some plot holes. Personally I didn't mind at all; the characters and the romance was much more the focus point for me but many others might not see that the same way. :)

Great sequel to a great book

I picked up 'Godslayers' right after finishing 'Gearbreakers', the massive cliffhanger at the end left me no other choice. Just like the first book, the story was really immersive and I got hooked right away. The corruption and enemies (again) to lovers (again) storyline was really well done, even though I think that Sona's corruption arc was a little weak and very quickly brushed over. I couldn't quite give five stars because there is a pretty major timejump in this book that left me a little disappointed, and overall there is A LOT going on plot-wise, but I still loved this book almost as much as the first one. Overall I absoloutely adore this duology and will definetly be re-reading soon.
