The book is very different from what you might expect and even though I was invested for the most part, I thought the ending was underwhelming for the whole build-up. The thriller is very strong on the supernatural side, which is not mentioned in the blurb, giving a false expectation. Which is mainly the reason why I didn’t enjoy it that much!

Do you remember this show?

There's a mysterious children's tv show, that many people remember and nobody can find. The ex-stars of that show, now adults, set out to uncover their past and what they left behind in the desert while filming "Mister Magic". And most importantly: Who or what was the host of the show, that changed their lives? Dark, thrilling and full of psychological twists - this book had me hooked from the first page. I especially enjoyed the vibrant portrayal of the main characters and how their lives got influenced by their appearance in the show. The supernatural elements were also very well embedded in the story and this book made me shiver more than once. It reminded me a lot of Stephen King's "It" and the tv show "Candle Cove". My new favourite book and a recommendation for everyone, that enjoys mysteries surrounding lost media and horror in general.
