    Klassiker meiner Kindheit

    Wer Heidi weder geguckt noch gelesen hat, sollte es unbedingt nachholen!!! Die Geschichte findet in einer Idylle in den Bergen statt, wo Heidi mit ihrem Freund Peter Abenteuer erlebt, während sie von Tieren und Natur umgeben sind.

    With Rebecca my new favourite book

    I am a german native speaker and I read this in English. I find it super easy to understand, even the dialects with a few research are understandable. It's super interesting, it's an absolutely page turner and it is with Rebecca my new favourite in the genre of classics.

    What a ride! The characters, the story and of course the drama make this book an unforgettable classic. Is it too long? Yes. Is it still worth reading? Oh, hell yes! From creepy horror elements to delicious vampiric bloodsucking action – you will find it all inside these pages. We accompany our five male heroes: the husband, the psychiatrist, the fiancé, the American and the foreign monster hunter expert, as they stumble through a plot they are completely unable to understand, until their guarding angel, purity of womanhood, damsel in distress and goodness incarnated aka Mina Harker assesses the situation for about three seconds and delivers the long-elusive solution without stepping on the brave men’s toes. The way they worship this woman is something I did no expect to read in a 130 year old classic written by a man. I also did not expect a woman to have a leading role without being the love interest. And the Count is just everything you could ever wish for in a villain: evil, sinister, with no moral compass whatsoever and a penchant for spectacular performances. I love this man.

    Ein Klassiker!

    Bram Stokers Dracula ist zurecht ein Klassiker, den jeder Fan von düsterer Fantasy-Literatur gelesen haben sollte. Sprachlich ist es einfach ein Meisterwerk, das auch sehr lesenswert ist wenn man die Handlung bereits kennt. Die Penguin-Ausgabe kommt in einem schönen minimalistischen Design und macht dadurch auch optisch viel her.

    A Bloody Masterpiece

    I went in without knowing a lot about the book and came out understanding why it is considered a classic. From todays viewpoint the book might not be considered a horror story because there is not much splatter but it beautifully creates a thrilling suspense that enchants you, fully drawing you in. Even though it is a fantastical tale that does not take place in the current times there is a realness to the characters that creates an enticing juxtaposition to the vampire of it all and allows for the horror to be a creeping, underlying threat. I absolutely enjoyed reading this classic of english literature!

    Must-read

    This fear inducing classic vampire story is a must-read for spooky season, which is finally here! Count Dracula is such a cool and thrilling character. I also like the characters of the vampire hunting group! Overall such a pleasant read.
