Gorgeous illustrations, a murder mystery, and a magic system unlike anything I've seen before: Hyo the Hellmaker is a hell of a lot of fun! I loved discovering the city of Onogoro together with Hyo and it was so interesting to see a world where the gods just live alongside humans. The illustrations in this book are actually what first drew me in, they are absolutely gorgeous and there are so many of them, big and small, all over the book.
