A Dawn of Onyx

I really loved this book! The world is beautifully written/described and I liked the introduction through Arwen's eyes. We learn more about everything as she learns more and develops her own personality. We only have her POV and thus a limit knowledge. Her inner dialouge is consistent and already in this book we see some character development. The other characters are also nicely written, especially Kane. The chemistry and tension between Arwen and Kane is soooo well done, I am in love! Apart from the lovestory, the fantasy part/aspect was not neglected. I think Kate Golden wrote a solid fantasy world and story and topped it with beautiful characters, that are not perfect or too naive or too unbeatable. Her characters really shine through their complexity. For me it was a perfect balance between fantasy and romance and I highly recommend this book!

Absolutely loved and this book!! 10/10 can recommend it to anyone who loves enemies-to-lovers, fantasy and slow burn! The characters are written amazingly and so is the plot with all its (to me unexpected) twists. I wish the next books were out already, so I can keep reading!

"I can't stomach you hating me forever." - S. 217 Kent Arwen und Kent. Zwei Seiten der gleichen Medaille? Ich weiß es nicht. Arwen ist ein sehr liebevoller und loyale Mensch. Eine Kämpferin mit dem Herz auf der Zunge. Kent hat so viele Seiten, schwierig mir eine Meinung zu bilden nach Band eins. Rolle Nebencharaktere und eine spannende Idee mit der Kraft von Steinen. Es ist eine witzige und auch süße Geschichte mir düsteren Seiten und natürlich etwas Drama. Es hat mir stellenweise das Herz gebrochen und mit definitiv auf Trab gehalten. Die Chemie der Protas hat Spaß gemacht und die Nebencharaktere geben den gewissen pfiff für den Rest. Band eins ist spannend und endet auf tragische Weise. Natürlich bin ich nun sehr an Band zwei interessiert, auch wenn trotz all dem guten, der Funken noch nicht ganz übergesprungen ist.
