It's the end and I am sad! But it was a great conclusion. Dawson’s writing is engaging and thought provoking, making it a quick but impactful read. The story feels disturbingly relevant, highlighting the fine line between security and oppression. For fans of speculative fiction that asks tough moral questions, Human Rites is both a thrilling and unsettling ride.

What a ride these books have been! The end of a series always makes me a little nervous, because you never know if it’ll leave you satisfied or with too many unanswered questions. I’m so glad Juno Dawson gave the world of “Her Majesty’s Royal Coven” and all her characters a suitable ending. In this—for now—last installment of her series, she managed to conjure blockbuster-like sequences in my imagination, just like in the first two novels. Her writing is just so quick, witty and raw. All the POVs manage to feel real and completely different in terms of tone and character voice, something not many authors manage to pull off. I stand with my praise for the series: this is the perfect urban fantasy trilogy. Women centered, witchy, romantic, unapologetically queer and political, without losing the fun of a good action-packed story.
