This book is absolutely brilliant. It is beautiful and heartbreaking. I cried so many times while reading it and relished every second of it. The writing is beautiful and flawless. It hits the mark! Just God! It was great. No words. I loved all the three stories that were I told and 3 different leads. They all had unique and difficult background. I went into the book, not knowing anything and just came out with an absolute gem. I loved how the concept of in-between was dealt and Hirasaka comforting them in their final journey to the afterlife. All the three stories were different, and I was surprised how attached I felt to all these characters and rooted for them. I also was taken aback by the little reveal at the end. Definitely recommend There is no doubt, I would be reading this book.

In a touching way, Sanaka Hiiragi manages to explore the concept of "What happens when we die?". The story moves and introduces the reader to this topic in a wonderful and thoughtful way.

A good book for a trip, or to get back into reading. The characters are very warm. The book teaches that there is at least something good in everyone - some have more, some have less. It’s a wonderful read for people going through a life crisis, especially those who had fear of death. Would I read it again? No. But it wasn’t bad at all.
