Relic The First Novel in the Pendergast Series

For me personally this is one of the best thrillers I've read so far. The author duo creates a very effective combination of biological-scientific aspects and nerve-wracking suspense that make up this first volume of the Pendergast series. To this day I can still feel the lasting effect of the book every time I visit a museum. I really recommend this book to anyone interested in thrillers (if you can cope with detailed pathological passages and some gory horror aspects).
