This book captivated me right in the first 20 pages! It’s starting and I’m already kicking my feet in the air and having butterflies, because it's so cute and swoon worthy. Perfect for someone who loves romance and tends to overthink. Because this book is about girldhood and finding yourself and dicovering new parts of youself that are awesome and make you feel pretty and good. Kendall is a hopeless romantic and Vincent is a shy basketball player who memorizes poems for her. You can just fly through this book and pretend that the world doesn't exist for a while.

Kendall Holiday can be described as the stereotypical bookworm. An Introverted english major who rather works a Friday night shift at the library than go out and party like her peers. Vincent Knight, on the other hand, appears to be the typical college athlete. Popular, handsome, outgoing and very much single. When one fateful night Vincent comes looking for poetry recommendations, their worlds collide in what might be every reader's secret fantasy. But will their little fling stay a one-time thing or might they actually become an item? "Night Shift" follows these two hopeless romantics trying to navigate this novelty. Oh, I just LOVED this book! It’s such a sweet and comforting read. Both protagonists might be struggling with some self-esteem issues, but who isn’t? The characters are written perfectly, with flaws, quirks and overall just very lifelike. So much so, that I sometimes felt called out on multiple levels, since this very well could have been a documentary of my very own life and relationship. Absolutely recommend this book to every bookworm who wants to feel seen. This book is a sweet and comforting hug in the form of ink printed on paper, and I loved every moment of it.
