    Fantasy Romance

"I'll have a white knight please"

If you're looking for a beautifully written, sapphic, medieval romance with a touch of fantasy and lots of feminism, then Lady's Knight is the perfect book for you. The witty and charming characters make this story very enjoyable to read!

    Be the one

Sapphic medieval romance? Yes, please! This had such a cute plot, with Isobelle being the (maybe not so) typical charming Lady in a castle and Gwen being the extremely brave (and hot) blacksmith’s daughter. The premise was amazing and I loved nearly all of the execution. Only the end left me a little unfulfilled but other than that, this was cute, inspiring and just overall really fun! Every four years there is a tournament held. The tournament of Dragonslayers, where knights compete against each other in a jousting competition. The winner gets the dowry and hand of a Lady proposed by the castle. This time that Lady is none other than Isobelle, who has no intention of marrying any of the men competing except for maybe the new knight no one knows much about? Sir Gawain is undefeated, mysterious and no one knows that he is actually Gwen. A fun and exciting tale ensues of a blacksmith’s daughter fighting under a man’s name and a young Lady wanting nothing more than to break free from the chains of the system.

Lesbian ladies, lesbian knights, lesbian everyone!

I love me a feminist, sapphic and medieval RomCom! Amy Kaufmann and Meagan Spooner have such a heartwarming and hilarious way of spinning a story you can't help but fall in love with all the characters and the world. This is the perfect book to escape to when all the current world affairs feel to pressing and paralysing.

    Buch (Taschenbuch)

All you need is a knight in shining armor!

Getting this book was a mere coincidence, but one I am so grateful for! Gwen wants to prove to herself that she can joust just like any male knight can and Isobelle desperately wants to escape being married off to the winner of the upcoming tournament. So why not sneak Gwen into the tournament, disguised as a knight from far away, to save the lady? The story is written with so much effortless humour, yet maintaining the adventure side of it. The girls' relationship is super cute and comforting and overall just enjoyable to follow. It melts my heart everytime I pick it up. The world created throughout the novel is packed with little details that make you smile and the side characters give it the finishing touches. Once started, the story sucks you in and makes it almost impossible to pause reading. So, if you are in search of a cozy romance with some moments of laughter in a medieval castle, this is the book for you!

    Buch (Gebundene Ausgabe)

Give me "A Knight´s Tale" (Ritter aus Leidenschaft), but make it saphic

Gwen is the daughter of a blacksmith, but her heart dreams fiercely of becoming a knight. One day, she crosses paths with the noble woman Isobelle—someone who hides a secret equally daring: a longing to be free from the confines of a planned marriage to the victor of the next knightly tournament. Driven by courage and hope, Gwen courageously enters the tournament incognito. This book contains everything I have ever wished for: resilient women standing by each other, a brave knight in shining armor, daring prison escapes, witches, a mighty dragon—and a painfully sweet and genuine sapphic romance. The “A Knight’s Tale”-vibe was real. The characters are beautifully crafted, and the narration was an absolute delight. I loved how the distant irony woven into the storytelling invites reflection—it's a fresh, invigorating breath of air that stays with you long after you turn the last page. A heartfelt recommendation for everyone seeking a beautiful adventure from the age of 13 and above.

    eBook (ePUB 3)

Lock up your dragons, it's Lady's Knight!

I was sold as soon as I learned the first few facts about this book: a sapphic love story between a fair lady and a dazzling lady knight, set in a medieval world where they play "hast thou ever" and that has dragons and castles galore... Yes please! That setup results in a utterly hilarious story that will have you giggling and kicking your feet on one page, and holding your breath in anticipation on the next.

    Buch (Taschenbuch)

    Who doesn’t love sapphic knights

Lady’s Knight is a fast-paced, queer and feminist story about a girl who wants to be a knight and a noble girl who will do everything in her power to break free from the restrictions men have set for her. The romance was cute, and the pining had me at the edge of my seat. The twists were a little predictable at times, but nothing too bad. What I loved most was that the book focused way more on female empowerment and female friendships than I thought it would. It worked well with the world that the author had created and gave the story more meaning. Overall, I had a great time reading and I can't wait fort the sequel.
