A combination of insanity and world building! This book is a perfect start to an intense series that will pull you in and never let you go. Mafi`s writing style is unique and fierce picturing Juliet's feeling in a breath taking an compelling way. Her wirting style and the world the reader is thrown in to makes it imposible to put the book down or wait to continue reading! -

GREAT !
A truly great book. It has an extraordinary writing style that gives us a unique insight into Juliet. The short chapters and great flow make you fly through the pages. The book is a fantastic start to a great series. The character development throughout the series is also very impressive. All the characters you meet have depth and often develop in ways you can't predict. The plot twists also surprised me a lot and kept me in suspense throughout the series, including cliffhangers after the individual books. I love the whole series and can only recommend it to everyone. -

Dystopian Nostalgia
A great addition to the YA-Dystopia genre. Juliette is dangerous. Contact with her skin causes people pain and death. She has been locked in an Asylum for a year. All she has is her notebook, where she writes down her thoughts, until she gets a cellmate... I couldn't put the book down. This is a great Romantasy-Story for people who loved the Mazerunner, Hunger Games and Divergent. And I really enjoyed the style which showed Juliettes inner world through crossed out sentences, as if we are reading her notebook. -

Captivating start to the series!
The book is about Juliette, who is held captive because she has a deadly power. Now she wants to stand up against the people who have held her captive, and with that she puts herself in very great danger… This book has triggered so many emotions in me. I don't read much in the dystopian genre myself, so I wanted to start small, and what can I say it captivated me directly, and I couldn't stop reading it. The book is a very big recommendation and perfect for people, who want to try the genre. Very simple written and super understandable. -
