Book two of this duology kicks off just as strongly and mysteriously as the first book ended. Once again, we find ourselves caught between two worlds—each more enigmatic than the other. Everything is shrouded in uncertainty, and neither people nor situations can be trusted. Every character commands full attention, and it is impossible to predict what might happen next. The overall dynamic worked brilliantly! Towards the end, the story was packed with so many twists and turns that it really kept me on my toes. While one or two twists might have sufficed for me, the story didn't necessarily suffer from it. That said, I would still argue that the second book was definitely weaker than the first one; while this one focuses almost exclusively on brutality and mistrust, the first book offered a broader range of facets. All in all, however, both parts are incredibly good and simply a joy to read!

Band zwei der "Hof-der-Dornen-Reihe" Ein gelungener Abschluss zu einer zauberhaften Romantasy ab 14 Jahren. Magie, Liebe und tiefe Freundschaft in einem viktorianischen Setting... Was könnte man sich mehr wünschen?

Mit Teil zwei endet auch die Geschichte rund um Ivy, Bram und Emmet. "the thorn queen" war meiner Meinung nach etwas schwächer als der erste Teil. Doch hatte ich auch hier Spaß am Lesen. Schade, dass die Reihe mit diesem Buch schon beendet ist.
