The Witch Collector

On Collector's Day, the Witch Collector comes to the village to take one Witch with him to the Frost King. Raina hates him for it. She hates the unfairness of it, but even more, she hates that she's lost her sister to him all those years ago. She refuses to forgive him for it, or see him as anything else than an evil to be executed. By her hands. But when Collector's Day comes, and an even bigger evil comes, she needs to go with Alexus to the palace. Her only hope: save her sister, and then kill the men. However, the journey is treacherous and slippery, and quicker than she'd thought, she begins to develop feelings... This book only has 3 stars from me because although the idea of it seems amazing, the execution sadly lacked. There were many moments where I'd thought that it was describing nothing, and the pacing was off. I also found the lack of lore explaining very sad. I was just thrown into it, without explanation or time to adapt. Even after finishing the book, I still don't understand most of the lore. For people who read for the vibes, this book is for you!
