it was a lightweight cozy blanket to be honest also really mindful and just the perfect read for thoes who need to read a phantasy story with aspects of the real life. The main character uses they/them pronouns which might be confusing at first but is a great representation for the queer comunity without it having any impact on the story, to show how unnescessary it for character of a person

This was exactly what I needed. Very calming, soothing anxieties about the world and future. This is my first time reading hopeful sci-fi and I loved it. It made me tear up a couple of times and I'm not even sure why. Lovable characters, the pacing is just right, written in a simple, direct, funny way. It convinced me to read more of Becky Chambers' works.

Ruhig, philosophisch & fantastisch

Ein durch und durch ruhiger Text, der uns eintauchen lässt in eine Version der Zukunft, in der roboter ein Bewusstsein entwickelten und sich von der Menschheit abwandten um friedlich fern der Zivilisation zu existieren. Heiter und sanft reisen wir durch Panga und tief in denUrwald, wo Abenteuer und Erleuchtung warten. Mir hat das Buch sehr gefallen, da es wie ein Ratgeber Weisheiten mit dem Lesenden teilt, eingewoben in eine Geschichte mit sympathischen Charakteren. Becky Chambers hat eine Welt voller Hoffnung und Zuversicht, Träumen und Sehnsucht geschaffen. Mehr davon!!

This gave me hope! it's a beautiful mix of scientific utopia and emotional wisdom. A book that's imagines a future where humantiy saves it self and a tries to answer a big question: "what do humans need?". A read that soothes weltschmerz and the anxieties that comes with living in this world. Let's hope we have a future like this one!
