  Eine meiner absoluten lieblings Buchreihen, einfach die perfekte Mischung aus Drama, Spannung und etwas Romantik. Sowohl Katniss als auch Peeta sind Charaktere, mit denen man sich sehr gut identifizieren kann. Ich konnte es kaum aus der Hand legen.

  Sunrise on the Reaping

  After a year of waiting I was finally able to read "Sunrise on the reaping" and what can I say it exceeded my expectations. Going in I thought I knew a lot about Haymitch`s games and was certain nothing could shock me. I was so wrong. The connections to characters we already know and the relationships that were build and destroyed got me really emotional. Without taking to much away I can just say that messages like "nothing is as it seems" and "the show must go on, no matter the harm done" really come across. Haymitch was ready for the rebellion when time wasnt right and Katniss was not ready for the rebellion while being the perfect pawn at the perfect time. I really liked the parrallels pulled there. All in all I can say that I am excited for the movie and will be rereading the book before, because I really enjoyed it.

  Robin Swift, a young boy from Canton China is taken away by the charming Professor. After growing up in the english countryside, its time for Robin to go to Babel, one of the most prestigious Oxford Universitys. I absolutely adore this book. The writing style is compelling from the start and it does feel like your sitting in a linguistics lecture at times, but as someone who loves languages and their origin, this was exactly my cup of tea. "The act of translation is, in some way, always an act of betrayal."

  Troy Barret doesnt have it easy. After calling out his former best friend for being a rapist and breaking up with his movie star boyfriend, he thinks hes really hit rock bottom, until he also gets drafted to the worst team in the league. For Troy theres only one way to get through this, keep his head down and somehow get through the season without drawing even more attention, but Harris, Ottawas social media manager and resident walking ray of sunshine is determent to push Troy into the light and to make him smile as often as possible. I love these two. Harris and Troy have such a sweet dynamic and all of their interactions are so hilarious and cute with a hint of flirty. reading this book felt like serotonin being injected directly into my veins. Also Troys learning curve throughout the story is just beautiful, nobody tells him to be better, all of his apologies and action are because he himself is motivated to better his life. I can recommend this book to anyone who loves romcoms and just wants a little cutenes (plus puppys) in their lifes.

  The Cinnamon Bun Book Store

  When Hazel finds little clues in her books, Noah offers to help her find out what their all about, seeing his chance to finally get closer to the cute bookseller hes been crushing on. Noah and Hazel are adorable together. I loved their dynamic and how thei both had their own issues to deal with. As an introvert myself I could really relate to Hazel and her fear of missing out. Also Noahs and Hazels little adventures connected to the clues are so sweet. I am a bit sad that we didnt get to see as much of the townfolk compared to the last one. It also would have been great to have Hazel and Noah communicate a bit better, because the misunderstandings were a bit unnecessary at times. Besides that I absolutetly loved this book. So grab your fuzzy blanket, get yourself some tea and a cinnamon role and fall in love with Noah and Hazel. <3

  The Long Game

  After 13 years together and 3 years of being in love, Ilya and Shane still have to keep their relationship a secret. But while Shane seems to be ok with the situation, Ilya becomes more and more impatiant. Are those wo really in for the long game, or will they crumble under the pressuren of keeping their love a secret? SPOILER My by far favourite part of the book was the plane crash. It really was essential to the story, especially for Shane. It was also in my opinion necessary, that Shane proposed to Ilya and not the other way around. After that they really start learning to communicate better and unlearn some old habits. I absolutely adore them both. I loved that Ilyas depression was made more of a topic, same as his heritage. Shane didnt make himself very popular in this story. His mind is very much one lane and since Ilya didnt communicate his struggles Shane thought he was fine. my only minor critique is, that Ilya is clearly Rachel Reids favourite character, wich made Shane slide into the background a few times. Im also a bit bummed that we wont be getting Luca Haas story but also think that "the Long Game" is a great end to a great series.

  The Pumpkin Spice Café

  The pumpkin spice cafe is for all Luke and Loralei lovers. The tension between Jeanie and Logan is high from the start. Logan, a grumpy farmer cant really get behind Jeanies bubbly and quirky attitude. I have to say though, the best thing about this book is not the couple but all citizins of dream harbor. At some parts of the story I literally laughed out loud, especially during the "town meetings". Another good point were the spicy scenes, nothing to extreme and very sweet. I also felt like the romance was not only building on sexual tension, wich was very nice to read. I would also recommend this book to people who just started reading in english due to the fun and enganging plot. So everyone who enjoys a good grumpy sunshine/small town romance with a dash of gossiping town folks that cant seem to stay out of the main couple buisness will certainly have lots of fun with this book
