The Cinnamon Bun Book Store

In dem zweiten Buch der Laurie Gilmore Reihe ist ziemlich schnell klar, um wen und um was es geht. Die Story rund um Hazel und Noah wird zwar schön ausgeschmückt und beschrieben, ist auf so einigen Seiten aber nicht jugendfrei. Auf den letzten Seiten wird das Rätsel um die Schnipseljagd gelöst und auf die romantische Seite des Haupt Charakters eingegangen. Das Buch liest sich sehr gut und schnell, ähnlich wie das erste der Reihe. Auch von anderen Charakteren bekommt man etwas mit. Ich kann das Buch empfehlen!

Ich habe dieses Buch, genau wie den ersten Teil schon, geliebt! Ich mag den flüssigen Schreibstil und LIEBE das Setting, das total an Gilmore Girls erinnert. Mich stört auch gar nicht, dass das Buch in der dritten Person geschrieben ist bzw. in der Erzählerperspektive. Es war spicier als der erste Teil, aber auch das hat mich nicht gestört, weil die spicy Szenen nicht so lang waren. Für mich war die Liebeserklärung das allerschönste in diesem Buch und hat es zu einem Fünf-Sterne-Read gemacht, aber mehr möchte ich dazu gar nicht verraten. Macht euch selbst ein Bild und lasst euch von Dream Harbour und seinen Einwohnern verzaubern. Kleiner Hinweis: Das Buch macht zwar den Anschein, es sei ein Herbstbuch, spielt aber im Spätsommer.

Die Geschichte um Hazel und Noah ist sehr süß geschrieben und es vermittelt meiner Meinung nach auch herbstliche Vibes. Ich fühlte mich von den Gefühlen beider, besonders zum Ende hin, sehr abgeholt und konnte die Unsicherheiten beider voll nachvollziehen. Das Ende kommt jedoch etwas abrupt und ich hätte mir noch eine Szene zu Noahs Familie und Hazel gewünscht sowie eine kurze Szene zu der Person die die Clues gegeben hat. Dies kam leider etwas zu kurz. Dennoch fand ich das Buch bzw. die Geschichte total süß und bin etwas traurig, dass sie nun vorbei ist. Ich kann das Buch auf jeden Fall für alle, die eine süße und spicy Liebesgeschichte und etwas rätseln möchten, sehr empfehlen. Und obwohl es auf englisch ist, konnte man es sehr gut und leicht verstehen und lesen.

Zurück in Dream Harbor geht es diesmal um die Buchhändlerin Hazel und den Fischer Noah. Geheime Botschaften, die Hazel in einigen Romanen in ihrer Buchhandlung findet, lassen sie auf eine Art Schnitzeljagd gehen. Wer steckt dahinter? Hilfe bei der Suche kommt von Fischer Noah, der heimlich in Hazel verliebt ist… Eine süße friends-to-lovers Geschichte, die mir sogar noch eine Spur besser gefallen hat als der 1. Band der Reihe. Besonders das Ende fand ich schön! Back in Dream Harbor, this time it's about the bookseller Hazel and the fisherman Noah. Secret messages that Hazel finds in some novels in her bookshop lead her to go on a kind of scavenger hunt. Who is behind it? Help in the search comes from the fisherman Noah, who is secretly in love with Hazel... A sweet friends-to-lovers story that I liked even a little better than the first volume in the series. I especially liked the ending!

The Cinnamon Bun Book Store by Laurie Gilmore is the second book in the Dream Harbor Series. This is Hazel and Noah‘s story.   Hazel loves books and works in Dream Harbor‘s bookstore. I immediately saw a lot of myself in her and she lives and breathes books sometimes a little too much. Hazel likes her job but she wants to be more adventurous and live a little and who could help her better than Noah. I absolutely adored Hazel and loved following her story.   Noah turned away from the family business and rather does his own thing as a boat and fishing tour guy. He likes being outdoors and is the one for having a good time with. He’s also a bit of a heartthrob and lady‘s man and only wants a casual time. Noah was such a well-balanced man, and my favorite part was the little notes and highlights he left Hazel. I can totally see why Hazel fell in love with him and he won a part of my heart over as well.   Hazel and Noah are friends, and they see each other regularly. Dream Harbor is just the perfect small-town setting, and I loved returning to this cozy place. Noah is the one who falls first, and he shows that through little gestures, and I especially loved how he would visit Hazel in the bookstore and get some recommendations and he actually read the books. The romance is very cute and slow-burn and they both didn’t expect it to be more even though they secretly wished for it, and I was rooting for them so hard. I had such a good time cuddling up with this story and loved all the little moments.   The Cinnamon Bun Book Store is such a feel good and cozy romance, and I adored it. 4,5 stars.   (ARC kindly provided in exchange for a review.)
