I really liked it, I loved the main character and enjoyed the atmosphere. I recommend it mainly for historical-fiction and mystery lovers. There is romance involved, but it's not the main plot in the book, so it doesn't feel shoved in your face (which I liked). There is also a little bit of science involved because the main character's interested in forensic medicine. I think that people who enjoyed the movie Enola Holmes might like this book.

Totally ripping you apart..

I enjoyed this way more, than I initially anticipated! Obviously I like myself a good whodunnit mystery, especially when it takes place in the Victorian era, but I am not always the biggest fan of YA reads. The book is about seventeen year old Audrey, living a secret life in her uncle's laboratory to study the practice of forensic medicine. (which is sooo against society's expactations as we all know) Well, then there is the tiny problem of a serial killer on the loose, so naturally they (there's a love interest too, who would have thought that) start to investigate. At the end, I obviously channeled my inner Sherlock Holmes and solved the case myself... Perfect for fans of Anatomy!

Nice murder mystery :)

I loved the atmosphere of this and for a long time I was jumping from clue to clue, wondering who Jack the Ripper might be. I got it right in the end, but that wasn't a bad thing for me. It's a nice historical murder mystery and I liked the way Kerry Maniscalco combined fiction with facts.
