Let me take you on a teeny-tiny journey through time. Don't worry, we're not rewinding the clock too far. Our wormhole traversal merely sends us back to August of last year. If you're anything like me and also decided to buy and play a little game called „Baldur's Gate 3“ on a whim, because no matter what you did, you just couldn't escape the (in retrospect well-deserved) hype surrounding it, then I have good news for you. This collection, with its four respective guides, really helped me understand the core lore behind Dungeons and Dragons and, by extension, BG3. Each and every guide intends to show you the metaphorical ropes and prepare you for your very own dungeon crawl. The information and illustrations the guides contain, not only make this collection highly recommendable to people like me, with no previous background knowledge, but also to long-time fans who may appreciate another addition of beautifully crafted guides in their D&D assemblage. To all my fellow noobs out there, I promise you, these guides will make the lightbulb in your head shine brighter than any daylight spell. Well, now that everything is said and done, please excuse me, I have to complete the damned Gauntlet of Shar for the 56th time.

Originally intended for a younger audience, I really came to love this collection. Made for children to get familiar with the wondrous world of Doungeons and Dragons, these books will tell you a wide variety of information about races, character classes, monsters and more. Also, there are additional books that provide even more info on other topics of DnD. Easy to understand and beautifully illustrated, this fun read is for childern and adults wanting to get in the game alike. I cannot stress enough how awesome these books are. Seriously, if you want to get into DnD, you should give them a try. Now, on to other adventures!
