Vamps: Fresh Blood

Well, that would be my motto, if I had one. First of all, this is YA fiction, it's equally trashy as compelling. Having said that, I still hate it. Beginning with their names, I mean Asta, Aron, Angelo, some of them related by blood, some hooking up with each other (there's also blood involved) but I kept mixing them up ALL THE TIME! Then of course I had to cope with all these stereotypes, the whole vampire elite being flawless, sexy and rich (apparently also naked most of the time) I actually liked the concept of a male main character although his portrayal annoyed me as well. The ending was quite gripping (that is, if you survived until then) and I do like a vampire story. Nevertheless this book sucked all the life out of me, so I guess that's after all a job well done.
