Wonderful

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

I'm kinda speechless. I absolutely enjoyed and loved reading this book, it was all that I needed – everything I needed to hear, everything I needed to feel. This was so relatable and that experience was so new for me... it opened a new world. It makes you feel less alone, while being... beautiful in it's own way. Additionally – I just fell in love with most of the characters, especially Avery and Cass.

A fabulously sad and gay book, definetly worth a read!

This is a fabulously sad but also romantic story about finding something or rather someone you want to live for. The main character Avery is a deeply relatable character, that made me revisit moments from my own personal past. This book is about rediscovering love all while facing the end of the world and your own ruinous thoughts.

“She was so bright she could belong to everyone and no one, just like the sun, just like the stars.”

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

"If Tomorrow Doesn't Come" was a nice and easy read with likeable characters (some more than others :^)), deep topics regarding mental health and a suspenseful "end-of-the-world" feeling of dread. I wasn't super invested in the relationship between Avery and Cass at first, but they grew on me throughout the book. Overall a good book and some solid lesbian representation. *SPOILER* Of course I knew what was coming when I started this book, but please, can we get some more lesbian stories with HAPPY endings for once? ;_; The ending was good, but my heart ;_;

A powerful story worth sitting with

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

If Tomorrow Doesn’t Come is a beautifully written and deeply emotional. Jen St. Jude captures queer love, grief, and identity with a raw honesty that lingers long after you finish the book. The book never feels forced, and the story balances heartbreak with moments of real tenderness and hope. The characters feel authentic, especially Avery, whose journey is both painful and empowering. The author doesn’t shy away from heavy themes, and while that makes the book intense at times, it also makes it so moving. The pacing could be a little uneven in places, but overall it’s a stunning, thought-provoking read. I found that this is the kind of novel that stays with you—haunting, honest, and beautifully human. A powerful story worth sitting with.
