    Buch (Taschenbuch)

    Buch (Taschenbuch)

    One of my new favorites!!

I am to stunned to speak… This is an absolute romance masterpiece!! I loved everything about this book. It’s the perfect read after a long day or when you just want to escape reality and completely lose yourself in a story. Please, someone make this a movie. Thank you. ・Characters: Aiden… what a man. He would do anything for her – even act mean if it helps her write her best work. And Rosie? She’s the definition of a hopeless romantic. They fit together so perfectly. The yearning and tension between them is killing me… in the best possible way. ・Story: I love how we’re writing a book within a book. And the fact that we get to read the chapters our characters write?? AHHH, I need that book as a real book, you know? It’s super heartwarming and so original. ・Writing style: Perfect. Super easy, natural, and flowy to read.

    Wow!

Absolute Empfehlung!

    Buch (Taschenbuch)

    I really enjoyed this one!!

First of all, I would like to say thank you for the review copy, which was provided to me by the publisher. This fact does not in any way affect my personal opinion of this book. This post contains advertising and the rights for the book belong to the publisher. Of course, is this only my personal opinion of the book and just because I give this rating to the book doesn’t mean, that everyone will have that opinion. The cover of „Not in my book“ caught my eye first. Then, I read the synopsis and was hooked. I love me a good enemies to lovers and academic rivals? Also, books as a central theme?! Ehhmm yes – give me that! I read this romance book almost in one go (your girl needs to sleep), and I enjoyed my time. I loved that we got snippets from the book that they needed to write together. The banter was good and made me laugh sometimes. Yesss, some of the stuff wasn’t surprising, but it was executed well. I also want to give a shoutout to a specific writing scene, which was veryy hot and maybe I learned a bit about myself there. I could see myself reading this book again and it will go onto my „romance I recommend“ mental shelf. Conclusion I really enjoyed this one!!

    Rosie and Aiden

Not in My Book by Katie Holt is a hate-to-love romance about two writers in New York. This is Rosie and Aiden‘s story.   I absolutely love the concept of this book and Rosie and Aiden are both aspiring writers who study together at NYU. They are in a course together and criticize and tear apart each other‘s work. Their banter is top tier and sometimes over the top and therefore they are forced to work together in order to continue their class.   Rosie is from Tennessee, and she came to New York to follow her dream of becoming a romance novelist. I absolutely loved how she saw the best in people and how she is looking for her own hea. She is also half-Peruvian, and I really liked seeing more of that culture.   Aiden is the opposite in a lot of ways, and he is focused on literary fiction and looks down on the romance genre. I liked how the book dealt with the stereotypes romance readers and writers are faced with and during the story he is willing to learn more about it. This aspect was done so well and even for that fact alone everyone should pick up this amazing book.   I also loved how you get to see glimpses of the book they're writing together and it was perfectly woven into their story. To collaborate, they need to get to know each other and become friends at first. The romance was absolute perfection and from their dates and first kiss and it turned into so much more. One of my favorite scenes was when they went to the Strand bookstore and picked out books for each other and I swooned so much. Sometimes the line between hate and love is very slim and I loved how this story showed that and blurred this line to create this masterpiece of a romance.   Overall, Not in My Book is a love letter to romance books and I’m completely obsessed with Rosie and Aiden‘s book and more than highly recommend it. 5 stars.   (ARC kindly provided in exchange for a review.)

    Buch (Taschenbuch)

"You were better than any piece of fiction I could ever write"

As someone who doesn't usually reads romance novels, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Not in My Book follows two university students who are both aspiring authors and forced to write a romance novel together, despite having completely different ideas about what makes a good story. One of my favorite parts was that you don't just become invested in their relationship, but also in the fictional characters they're creating together. The way they communicate through the chapters they write for each other was such a unique concept, and I've honestly never read anything like it before. What I loved most was how genuinely likeable both main characters were. They each had their own personality, flaws, and chemistry, which made it so easy to root for them. Unlike so many romance books that seem to revolve almost entirely around spice, this one focused on the relationship itself. And the slow burn? It was an actual slow burn. The romance developed naturally, making every moment between them feel earned instead of rushed. Watching them slowly get to know each other, challenge each other, and fall in love was the heart of the story. Yes, there's some spice, but it's balanced perfectly with sweet moments, emotional scenes, plenty of tension, and just enough heartbreak to keep you completely invested. It made me laugh, made me emotional, and kept me turning the pages. If you're looking for a romance with real character development, incredible chemistry, and a relationship that takes its time to blossom, I can't recommend this book enough.
