    Buch (Taschenbuch)

4,7/5 Stars, I loved it so much! :)

The Ultimate Autumn Read!!! I absolutely loved Falling Like Leaves—it is the ultimate perfect book for autumn! The cozy yet emotional atmosphere captured the season beautifully, making it almost impossible to put down. Cooper is an absolute sweetheart, and I fell in love with his character immediately!! Ellis, on the other hand, was a bit harder to connect with at times. Tho I liked her character development. There were moments where she came across as unsympathetic, but I understood the reasons behind her actions. Even when she did things that hurt the people around her, her motivations made sense given her journey. It is a deeply emotional, atmospheric, and beautifully written story. I giggled, my heart ached for them and I loved every second of their yearning. Highly recommended if you are looking for the perfect fall vibe!

    Buch (Gebundene Ausgabe)

    Buch (Gebundene Ausgabe)

    Das Buch „Falling Like…

A cozy romance perfect for the fall season

If you're looking for some really cozy romance story based on the best season of all - fall - I can totally recommend this one by Misty Wilson. I could totally connect with Ellie and her feelings. In one moment she was preparing everything for college, the next she is moving to a small town only with her mum. There she is running into Cooper, the boy back from a summer when everything was light and easy - and he apparently hates her now. But they can't stop bumping into each other and soon they warm up to each other again...and Ellie has to make some really important decisions. I loved this story from the beginning to the end!

    Buch (Taschenbuch)

“I meant I didn’t want you to chase me anymore because I don’t want to be running. I just want to be with you.”

Against her wishes, Ellis's parents decide that Ellis and her mother are moving in with her aunt and cousin, to finish senior year of high school in the small-town Bramble Falls. Although Ellis doesn't see herself in the small town at all, her life suddenly takes on a new perspective, and Cooper, her former best friend, isn't entirely innocent in that. From start to finish, the book was not only harmonious, perfect for autumn, and had strong Gilmore Girls vibes, but also had some emotional and real moments that fit perfectly into the story. Even though I'm always initially skeptical of Young Adult books because I often just can't relate to them at all, that wasn't the case with this book! This was the cutest young adult book, I've ever read and I had a lot of fun! Plus, the little references to the movie "Practical Magic" were really cool and reinforced the autumn experience even more! So good!

    Falling For Autumn....

Ellis's whole world turns upside down faster than she can realize, which is why she ends up staying in her mom’s hometown for a few months. Between old and new faces, she discovers that there is something magical about autumn in Bramble Falls. Will the Town activities and the people she becomes close with be enough to turn her anger about leaving New York into something that feels like home? Misty Wilson tells a love story about a talented and driven girl and a boy who dreams big. Even though this book represents teenagers, it is cozy and lovely and only a bit dramatic. They support each other and become better people throughout their story. A perfect homage for autumn. Which makes you fall in love with this season as certain as the falling of leaves.

    Buch (Taschenbuch)

    Perfect for cozy fall evenings!

"Falling Like Leaves" by Misty Wilson is a cozy Young Adult story that immediately radiates that warm Gilmore Girls-vibe. We are whisked away to the small town of Bramble Falls, where the streets are draped in autumnal colors, cafés beckon you to linger, and the residents—with all their quirks—win your heart in an instant. You can practically feel the cozy, slightly melancholic atmosphere—perfect for rainy autumn days. At the center of the story are Ellis and Cooper, whose shared past remains unresolved. The narrative beautifully depicts how they slowly begin to reconnect, even as old conflicts and misunderstandings continue to resurface. The question of whether they will once again stumble over the same issues creates emotional tension and lends the story a sense of authenticity. Beyond the romance, the book explores themes such as future aspirations, personal dreams, and the delicate balance between letting go and putting down roots. Ellis and Cooper’s character development feels authentic and sweet, without ever drifting into kitsch. This blend of romance, personal growth, and charming small-town atmosphere makes "Falling Like Leaves" a true feel-good novel. For anyone who loves cozy romance, appreciates small towns with big hearts, and enjoys losing themselves in warm, heartfelt stories filled with autumnal magic, this book is an absolute must-read.
