Pumpkinheads A Graphic Novel

„Pumpkinheads“ hat mich direkt mit seiner herbstlichen Stimmung abgeholt und mich beim Lesen richtig in diese bunte Pumpkin-Patch-Welt gezogen. Die Idee mit dem letzten gemeinsamen Abend auf dem Kürbisfeld fand ich total charmant und genau richtig für etwas Leichtes zwischendurch. Deja und Josiah haben eine süße Dynamik, die voller kleiner witziger Momente steckt und sich sehr natürlich anfühlt. Besonders mochte ich, wie viel Atmosphäre allein durch die Zeichnungen entsteht, weil man das Gefühl hat, wirklich durch diesen Freizeitpark zu laufen. Die Geschichte ist zwar nicht super tief oder kompliziert, aber genau das hat hier irgendwie perfekt gepasst. Ich habe oft geschmunzelt und mich einfach gut unterhalten gefühlt, ohne groß nachdenken zu müssen. Der Zeichenstil hat das Ganze für mich nochmal extra lebendig gemacht und richtig Stimmung transportiert. Es ist definitiv so ein Buch, das man in einem Rutsch wegliest und danach direkt Lust auf Herbst bekommt. Fazit: Für mich ist „Pumpkinheads“ kein großes Drama, sondern einfach pure Wohlfühlunterhaltung in Herbstform. Ich hatte beim Lesen richtig gute Laune und genau dieses Gefühl bleibt auch danach noch hängen.

Pumpkinheads is a delightful, cute story about friendship, love and the last day of pumpkin-season and how to make the very most of it. I reread it every year and it never stops giving me this cozy, warm feeling. The perfect book to start, end or just celebrate autumn and a good choice, if you're new to graphic novels.

Wer den Herbst und seine Farben liebt, liegt mit dieser Graphic Novel, die vom letzten Saisontag auf einem Kürbiserlebnishof erzählt, goldrichtig. Hier warten eine zuckersüße, humorvolle Geschichte und superschöne Bilder. Für mich ab sofort Pflichtlektüre im Oktober! ;-D

I really enjoyed to read this graphic novel by Rainbow Rowell.Its an romantic and funny Story! I love the both characters Deja and Josie. The illustrations are amazing and I really like to take a look on it. This comic is now, one of my favourites! Love it!
