Just when you thought things couldn't get much worse for Pip...
After the first part of this trilogy blew me away, the second part immediately captivated me. Nothing went as expected, and I could almost physically feel the tension. Anyone who thinks this is a boring children's crime novel is definitely wrong. -

Darker and more serious than GGGtM
Read through this in under a week. Sometimes when I read other crime novels I wonder if I don't actually like crime. Then I read Holly Jackson and I know I actually love it! The slow reveals leave you on the edge of your seat constantly, trying to figure out what the story is. This is the type of book that keeps your brain engaged 100% of the time and makes you more than just a consumer but a fellow detective. This really is one of the best young adult book series out there. -

how was this better than the first...
seriously, how was this better than the first one?? it had me in a chokehold from start to finish and the end made my jaw DROP. tears EVERYWHERE. poor pip, had to go through all that :(( currently reading the finale and I LOVE this series so much already. -
