Meine letzte Rezension A Summer of Stars von Liana Cincotti

As a lover of romance, this book really won me over. Cincotti has a way of writing her characters that goes beyond the usual romance tropes. Even though the core of her novels are the love story , there is much more to her stories than that. She portrays real emotions and shows how they influence the plot. 4.5 stars!

If We Were Villains

Love, friendship, betrayal, and lots of Shakespeare! An admiring journey through complex interpersonal dynamics. A drama that usually only takes place on big stages. Definitely a must-read for any fan of dark academia.

Good Girl, Bad Blood

After the first part of this trilogy blew me away, the second part immediately captivated me. Nothing went as expected, and I could almost physically feel the tension. Anyone who thinks this is a boring children's crime novel is definitely wrong.

Finding Phoebe

This book really blew me away! I hadn’t expected that such ‘boring’ everyday situations could create such a gripping atmosphere. Phoebe’s autism was portrayed in great detail and in a way that was easy to relate to, so I could really identify with her. I was also deeply moved by the story behind her mother’s letter.

At the beginning of the book, I could never have imagined that it would captivate me so much. It is a story of love, sex, fear, discussion and affairs, the likes of which I have never read before. Daisy Alpert Florin is an incredible author, and I cannot wait to read more of her work.

When We Were Monsters

An enticing dark academia thriller that explores human connection and competition. Not at any point will you know what's actually going on, what is real and what is fake. The characters will go through situations, you would never imagine yourself going through, just to win. I found it really entertaining, so much I had to finish it in a single day. Definitely deserving of the 5 stars.

Bellies

This book moved me and left me with a bittersweet taste. It provides a profound description of the reality and everyday life of relationships and cohabitation. The needs and inner monologues of the individual characters lend depth to the story. While reading, it felt as if I were holding my breath the entire time and was part of the conversation.

Proving yourself to your family as a real brujo and accidentally summoning a handsome ghost at the same time? Just a normal Tuesday. At least for Yadriel. An admirable fantasy novel that describes not only supernatural events, but also normal aspects of the life of a trans* boy. One of my comfort books!

Les Normaux

This graphic novel is the sweetest thing I've read in a while. It was extremely easy for me to fall in love with the characters. They are all special in their own way, yet they work well together. I also found the colour scheme and artistic design very warm and appealing. By the way, why are all the characters in this book so attractive? Pure queer panic. I am really looking forward to volume 2!
