Being a huge fan of the Truly Devious series, I bought this book blindly, without even reading the synopsis - it TRULY didn´t disappoint. Stevie Bell has yet another case to solve - this time overboard! She and her friends make their way to London for an "educational trip" while Stevie tries to find out who murdered two of "The Nine", a mysterious group of theatre kids, in an English mansion in the 90s. Sounds awesome?! It is! To be frank: I freaking LOVED the setting! The case also has to be my favourite of the series so far, it was so much fun and sometimes overwhelming following all the brilliant clues. The new characters were unique and thoughtfully written, as expected from Maureen Johnson. It was also so nice to hang out with Stevie and her friends again, I missed them...I really hope the next book won´t take to long to write because "Nine Liars" left us with a jaw dropping cliffhanger...

This is a comfort series for me....

This is a comfort series for me. I love to return to the characters once in a while and solve a new mystery with Stevie and her friends. This was a very British story, I enjoyed the countryside setting and the characters from the past timeline. It felt a bit like a Christie novel
