Meine letzte Rezension Kanak Kids von Anna Dimitrova
Ich wusste anhand des Klappentextes schon, dass mir das Buch wahrscheinlich sehr gut gefallen wird, aber wie sehr hatte ich nicht geahnt! Von der super sympathischen, schlagfertigen und witzigen Protgonistin, den Einblick in eine Familie mit migrantischen Wurzeln, den tollen Freundschaften und der absolut zuckersüßen Romance (mein Highlight) hat mir wirklich alles daran gefallen! Ich finde auch Erwachsene können sich von diesen Teenagern einiges im Hinblick Kommunikation abschauen. Wirklich große Empfehlung, finde, es sollte auch an Schulen gelesen werden :)

    What started off as a nice, mysterious & adventurous fantasy turned out as one of the best and most heartbreaking books I've ever read - heartbreaking in a good way though. A truly precious & unique read. This is one of these books you wish you could read again for the first time...

    Noch besser als Band 1!Ein Mord im Orient Express-Start, vermeindliche Vampire und ein gruseliges Schloss, das nun als Akademie für Gerichtsmediziner dient - ich hatte wieder viel Spaß mit Aubrey Rose und Thomas. Liebe die Reihe! Hoffe Band 3 lässt nicht zu lange auf sich warten!

    The Ending Writes Itself

    6 Authors, a lonely island in the Scottish Highlands and an impossible task: finish the final book of a world famous author, who died before finishing it. I had so much fun reading this, it's definitely a highlight of the year! All the characters are written so thoughtfully and I loved reading from all the different PoVs! The Plot Twists were crazy good - a page turner for sure! I need more of this!

    Only a Monster

    Nachdem ich jetzt auch Band 2 beendet habe, musste ich unbedingt eine Empfehlung abgeben! Die Reihe ist eine meiner neuen absoluten Lieblingsfantasyreihen! Die Story ist super spannend und gut durchdacht, das Magiesystem ist einzigartig und ich finde die Idee mit den Monstern einfach genial. Auch die Romance gefällt mir richtig gut, auch wenn mir Love Triangles eigentlich nicht so gut gefallen - es ist einfach herrlich tragisch. Der Schreibstil ist sehr eigen, aber gut und sorgt für mächtig Fernweh nach London. Auch wenn die Protagonistin manchmal etwas naiv ist, habe ich alle Charaktere sehr ins Herz geschlossen. Tipp: Fans von der Edelstein Trilogie von Kerstin Gier sollten sich das Buch auf jeden Fall mal anschauen! Ich kann es kaum erwarten Band 3 zu lesen, der Cliffhanger von Band 2 war richtig fies -.-

    The Bone Season

    Following a recommendation of a friend I read this one without reading the plot - trust me that's the best way to do it, because you can't explain this book in just a few sentences! Yes it does have dystopian vibes, yes it has magic, it has a romance subplot, it was conflicted characters, political schemes and secrets, another race that are a mix of aliens and vampires and so on and on and on. It's seriously so good, I think this going to become a favourite series!!!

    Ava Reid put the darkest, twisted, morbid, gorey Fantasy to paper there is. It was disgusting! In a good way haha. But honestly, every taboo topic has put into this book in such a fitting way, it made the whole atmosphere of the book even more lively. Yearning is another book to describe this book, because the forbidden romance in this book is gut wrenching. I would recommend it to Fans of Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon since it has also political feuds between noble houses - just add a breath of Necromancy to it...

    Endlich eine tolle RomCom für Science-Girlies! <3 Zugegeben ich war sehr skeptisch aber es hat mich total überrrascht und mir dadurch gleich noch viel besser gefallen! Der Fake Dating Trope war hier super umgesetzt und es hat einfach nur Spaß gemacht zu lesen. Der Sunshine x Grumpy Trope kommt auch nicht zu kurz und die Charaktere waren mir super sympathisch. Lustig, Romantisch und schön zu lesen. Ganz große Empfehlung und definitiv den Hype wert!

    Sea Change

    This book took me completely by suprise! I didn't think I was going to like it that much! It's a book for people being a little lost in life - we read about Ro, who just got dumped by her boyfriend and now her beloved octopus, Dolores, from the aquarium she works in, is getting sold. We follow her through her - pretty uneventful - everyday life, memories of her childhood, of her father who went missing when she was a child. About her experience of being a child of an immigrant family and generational trauma. To be honest - nothing really happens in this book! It's just a calm stream of thoughts and emotions with the beautiful, peaceful, blue-lighted atmosphere of an aquarium. The writing style was so good, I couldn't believe it was the author's debut novel! I really, really liked this book. Underrated for sure, I hope more people will give it a chance!

    Das St. Alex - Nachtleuchten

    Toller Auftakt der neuen New Adult Reihe mit einer unglaublich schönen und cozy Atmosphäre, die mich von Seite 1 an in den Bann gezogen hat! Die Charaktere sind so zum Liebhaben; besonders Sami, ihre Brüder und ihre Katze Schnurrsula haben es mir besonders angetan. So süß und lustig die Geschichte auch ist, es wird auch sehr emotional - also Taschentücher bereit halten! Die Autorin behandelt schwierige Themen mit viel Sorgfalt und Respekt, (an dieser Stelle Triggerwarnung für Suizidalität!) Auch wenn es eigentlich nicht so mein Lieblingsgenre ist, hat mich "Das St.Alex: Nachtleuchten" total überzeugt und ich freue mich sehr auf die Fortsetzung. Große Empfehlung!
