No ordinary fantasy book
Sixteen Souls was a pleasure to read. I really enjoyed it, that it was no conventional fantasy book rather than a ghost story. A big big plus point were the diverse protagonists - one of whom was disabled and one was trans. Since there aren't many fantasy books with queer and disabled characters, it was really nice to see them represented here. Also Charlie and Sam didn't act like idiots all the time, which I really appreciated. If you want to read a fantasy book with amazing characters - dead and alive - you've got the perfect story. I'm curious to see how Charlie, Sam, Heather and Ollie deal with what awaits them in Volume 2. -

This is a fun ghost story with...
This is a fun ghost story with such great representation! I enjoyed the quest element, the teamwork and found family that build up alongside it. I loved the setting in York and all the ghost stories we get to hear. It was a bit spooky but I can't wait for the 2nd book!
